An Introduction to the ThinkWell Courses
In the world we live in today it can seem that there are a hundred and one pressures on our time. If we are not careful and fail to take care of ourselves it can feel that we can't cope with all of the demands placed on us from family, friends and work colleagues. When this happens we may end up feeling either depressed or anxious or both depressed and anxious at the same time!
If we feel physically run down or ill we often know what to do to make ourselves feel better. We may spend a couple of days pampering ourselves, try to improve our diet, plan to take a break from work, plan a holiday or even see our GP. But it can seem much more difficult to decide what to do if we feel down or "stressed out". Often we end up just trying to live with the feelings hoping they will go away as soon as possible. Unfortunately this waiting game for things to improve often doesn't work.
It is worth remembering that feeling either depressed or stressed can have a knock on affect and make us feel physically run down and ill.
ThinkWell aims to help you identify what may be making you feel depressed or stressed and then to help you do something about it. By dealing with these moods you will find that the quality of your life will improve.
ThinkWell employs the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you recognise and then overcome any emotional difficulties you may be experiencing.
We have developed a Quick Mood Check so you can quickly gauge your mood and assess how much ThinkWell could help you.

Can ThinkWell Help Me?
ThinkWell will give you an opportunity to gain a better understanding of yourself and the way things around you (your work and your family for instance) can affect how you feel. Once you have this understanding it will help you develop a more constructive and healthy way of thinking about things which in turn will improve how you feel. The end result is that your work performance will improve as will the satisfaction and enjoyment you get from your life.
ThinkWell aims to help you develop practical skills which can then help you explore what lies at the root of your feelings and behaviour. This approach is effective for people who are seeking a practical method of helping themselves and want to take control of their emotional lives.
